Hey there, I'm julia
my journey…
My path to motherhood was not what I thought it would be. I experienced both unexplained infertility and multiple miscarriages before meeting my eldest Son in 2020. After a Birth that went nothing like how i had envisioned, consisting of induction due to pre-eclampsia and a shoulder dystocia, i was then left to navigate my first postpartum season along side the whole world shutting down. While this period was full of many challenges it brought out a strength and confidence within my self i never knew existed. It ignited a deep passion for wanting to showcase the rawness and struggles that perfectly co-exist and ultimately are part of the magic and beauty that encompasses our motherhood journeys.
Having had both hospital and home births myself – one of which was accidently unassisted ( story for another time) I have a deep reverence for the sacredness involved in bringing a baby into this world.
Witnessing my own children growing in what seems to be a blink of an eye I’ve come to know the emotions we feel everyday the smallest details of their little hands, the struggles that are overcome, and the people who are there with you supporting you all tell a beautiful story worth celebrating and reminiscing on for the rest of your life.
I feel incredibly honored each and every time I am invited into a birth space or your life to document some of lifes most magical, fleeting years

My approach is organic and flexible to capture every moment of the story
Through thoughtful planning and getting to know you during the process I create an environment during your shoot where everyone feels at ease and free to be authentic.
We embrace the chaos as it comes, slow down to breath in the tender moments and If needed, I’ll guide you in a way that feels natural. Helping with hand placement, giving movement ideas, and paying attention to the little details so that you don’t have to think about a single thing. Your only job is to be present with the ones you love soaking up every kiss and giggle.
